Summary

Scene Repeater is a game where you perform a scene, then immediately play it again. The heart of it: in the second pass, you deliberately recreate everything from the first, including any happy accidents, hesitations, or awkward beats. If someone forgot a line and paused, the replay keeps that pause. Repeating the whole first run, imperfections and all, is what creates the dramatic or comedic punch. It's a cousin of other "repeat" games like Same Scene Three Ways.

How to Play

  • Play a scene.
  • Then play the same scene again.
  • On this second pass, recreate everything from the first, happy accidents and pauses included.

Required Materials

  • Nothing needed.

Purpose

This one encourages you to embrace happy accidents and unexpected moments, and fold them right in. You'll build memory and attention to detail. And it gives you a framework for transforming a scene through repetition and emphasis.

Variations

  • Similar to Same Scene Three Ways.
