Summary

Survival Show sends up reality-TV survival competitions, only it's set in an unexpected, everyday indoor place. One improviser plays the host, narrating it all, while three others are the contestants. The audience names an ordinary indoor setting — say, a particular workplace — to serve as the "island." The host lays out the premise and the rules in a voiceover. From there, scenes show the contestants interacting in that environment, letting their personalities shine. The host can break in for "Tribal Council," where contestants mime their votes, then one by one reveal who they picked and justify it in a confession-style monologue.

How to Play

  • Pick 1 host and 3 contestants.
  • Grab a suggestion for a specific, non-geographical, everyday indoor location.
  • The host sets up the game and situation with a voiceover.
  • Contestants play scenes, interacting within that environment.
  • The host breaks in for "Tribal Council."
  • At Tribal Council, contestants mime voting, then reveal their vote and reasons in a confession style.

Required Materials

  • Nothing required, beyond a suggestion for the location. You might use minimal props, like paper for miming votes.

Purpose

This one builds character work inside a specific genre and format. You'll practice scene work, interaction, and monologue delivery. It invites parody and satire. And it weaves a structured element — the Tribal Council — into improvised scenes.
