Summary
This easy solo exercise helps you quickly dream up details about the physical world of a scene. Given a suggestion for a space or situation (like a pirate's foot locker), your job is to name five distinct, external things that live in that space. Pick items your character could actually interact with or be affected by. The idea is to build the habit of filling a setting with details, so you've got a wealth of physical offers and interaction points instead of playing in an undefined "blank cube."
How to Play
- Grab a suggestion for a space or situation (e.g., the inside of a refrigerator).
- Name five external items you'd find in that space.
- Stick to items your character could reach or be affected by.
Required Materials
- Nothing required, beyond suggestions for spaces.
