Look What I Found!

In Look What I Found!, the audience tosses out a bunch of objects, usually 10 to 20, and you write each one on its own slip of paper. During a scene, you draw a slip at random and fold that object into the action right away. Whoever drew it takes the lead on justifying why it's there, though your scene partners can pitch in. You can bring it in by naming it or with clear mime. It plays a lot like drawing lines of dialogue in other games, and it rewards quick justification and building a scene around surprise physical elements.

• Gather 10 to 20 object suggestions from the audience and write each on its own slip of paper.
• Drop the slips into a container or a pile on stage.
• Start a scene.
• Mid-scene, a performer draws a slip with an object on it.
• That performer folds the object into the scene right away, by naming it or miming it, and justifies why it's there.
• Keep the scene going, drawing and weaving in more objects.

• Can stop early if a good scene emerges.
